Manufacturing Engineer

Assist with project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements and performance standards.
Verify customer design data with manufacturing team using Solidworks/Fusion 360.
Analyze technical drawings and data and offer configuration changes to enhance product manufacturability.
Evaluate product data and design by completing technical studies and preparing cost estimates.
Maintain a record of supplier contracts, agreements, goods ordered and received.
Manage vendor relationships, develop new sources of supply, and ensure vendor delivers products in a
timely manner and sees if products meet quality and quantity as per order.
Perform regular performance review with suppliers to drive continuous improvements.
Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
Provide direction, leadership, and technical support for operations.
Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet cost saving targets, lead time and quality as per company guidelines.
Prepares reports, charts and other documentation required for engineering records and projects.
Provides status and schedule support of products during the complete manufacturing cycle.
Knowledge and use of lean principles as they apply to manufacturing and business processes.
Ensures that projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the technical terms agreed in the contract.
Maintain control system documents, job route cards and certificate of conformance documents for product shipments.
Proficiency in reading engineering drawing and blueprints.
Ability to work in cross functional teams and effectively communicate throughout the organization.

Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related.


Required Skills:
Willing to work in a manufacturing shop-floor environment.
Knowledge of CAD software’s Solidworks or Fusion 360.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).
Knowledge of Non-Ferrous (Aluminum) Castings.

Materials Engineer

Responsible for continual improvement of foundry processes to impact safety, quality and productivity.
Work closely with foundry manager and metallurgists to improve products, lower cost and develop new alloys for production.
Supporting and Reviewing the CERTS (CofA’s, CofC’s) for our end customers and other necessary documentation to ensure product compliance with internal and external parameters.
Responsible for working on Internal ERP System – to enter Purchase Orders, Keeping a track of shipping and inventory for the entire foundry.
Responsible to track and involve with Production Schedules and Shipping Schedules of the castings based on production deadlines.
Responsible for design and/or upgrades to the foundry facilities including installation and specification of furnaces, melting equipment and casting equipment.
Monitor production processes and key metrics to improve production throughput and quality.
Develop strong working knowledge of foundry technical operations.
Manage key projects in support of improved foundry throughput, cost efficiency, and technology upgrades.
Support daily operations with problem definition, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
Work with customers to assist with various parameters including Heat Treat Cycle Times, Gating & Risers, Product Quality.
Responsible for managing and handling all paperwork for all Internal Audits – AS9100 and other customer related audits.


Requires Bachelor’s Degree in in Metallurgy or Materials Science and Engineering or related.

Mechanical Engineer

Primarily responsible for performing New Product Development (NPD) activities.
Participate and support Pattern, Mold, Tool Room, and Manufacturing Engineers with product, fixtures, and equipment conceptualization using 3D CAD systems.
Utilize mechanical aptitude and GD&T knowledge along with computer-aided design systems (SOLIDWORKS and/or FUSION 360) for all mechanical design and development projects.
Participates in the start-up, integration, and debug phase of newly designed projects on-site at A&B Foundry and Machine Shop or at a customer facility.
Responsible for selecting methods, processes, and component parts related to new developments, improvements, and modifications under A&B Foundry and Machine Shop AS9100 and ISO quality standards and specifications for castings, machined components, weldments, and fabrications.
Assist in developing and maintaining customer-specific product specifications and performance- standards by studying (TDP) technical design data from customers.
Investigate power tools and equipment failures to diagnose potential faulty processes and/or operations leading to Non-Conformance and recommend corrective actions.
When necessary, draw, revise, and issue prints for markers, molds, dies, gages, and other tooling.
Generate processes and plans for testing and validation of existing products and new prototypes per A&B and customer’s spec sheet.
Maintain and create engineering documentation related to new designs and developments such as drawings, part lists, bill of
materials, and revision history, and is responsible for the distribution of change numbers to the applicable departments.
Attend and contribute to project planning to ensure the project progresses on schedule and within the prescribed budget.
Communicates and collaborates with other disciplines to provide technical information to internal departments as well as external suppliers and customers.
